Recipe(tried): Debbie's Dinner

Menus

Well tonight I had a triumph in the kitchen! Yay!!

My friend Debbie came over and she adores Indian food so I shall call this Debbie's Dinner.

Spicy Ground Pork

1 lb ground pork
1 red onion finely chopped
1 clove garlic finely chopped/crushed
2 tsp ground cumin
2 tsp paprika
1 tsp your own favourite curry powder (I used a Korma style one)
1 tbs tomato puree
cup frozen peas
2 tbs chopped coriander/cilantro
1 tsp garam masala
salt to taste

Fry the onions in a little oil until soft then add the garlic and fry that for a couple of minutes. Add in the pork and stir fry until the colour has changed. Sprinkle in all the dry spices and stir well. Add about a cup of water to the tomato puree and then stir that in as well. Leave it to simmer for about an hour.

Stir in the cilantro, the peas and salt to taste, simmer for another 15 minutes and serve with rice.

We loved it! You might want to put in more garlic or some other spices. I also have put in a diced potato with the peas it's so nice This makes a good filling for samosas too.. You just need to make sure there is no liquid left before you fill them
