Recipe: Elephant Stew (joke) for Jennie

Main Dishes - Chilis, Stews
I know I have some of the others you mentioned, will look for them and post if I find them...I'm supposed to be taking down the Christmas tree!

ELEPHANT STEW (joke)

1 medium size elephant
5 lbs. black pepper
20 lbs. salt
1 lb. red pepper (optional)
100 lbs. onions
300 lbs. potatoes
200 lbs. carrots

Cut elephant into bite-size pieces. Place in 10,000 gallon stock tank filled with water. Add spices, onions, potatoes and carrots. Bring to a boil over charcoal briquets and cook until meat is tender.

Serves approximately 1000 people. If you are expecting a few more guests, a rabbit or two may be added, but is not always advisable, for some people do not like "hare" in their stew!
