Recipe(tried): Freezing Corn in the Husk-Teresa, NC

Preserving - Other
I have frozen corn in the husk. You must make sure it is cool. I put mine in several large untreated garbage bags, tying with a twist tie. I kept it for a year, and could not tell the difference in fresh from the garden and the frozen. That may have been my taste. My daughter has done the same and says she and her family cannot tell the difference. The main problem we each had was space in the freezer.

When freezing shucked corn on the cob, I find the taste is better and it does not get freezer burned as quickly if it is frozen in water. I let the blanching water cool and use that.

Hope my experience helps, even tho it is not the recommended method.
