GARDEN PIZZA SALAD
1 bag shredded pizza cheese
1 ready-to-bake pizza crust
1 head romaine lettuce, washed and dried
1 (8 oz.) package HORMEL Turkey Pepperoni
1 (12 oz.) bottle oil and vinegar dressing
1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
Salt and pepper
10 to 12 leaves fresh basil, washed and dry
1 small red onion, sliced and separated into rings
1 red pepper, cut into 1/4-inch strips
Take half of the cheese and sprinkle over pizza crust; bake crust per package instructions.
Tear lettuce into bite-size pieces and place into large bowl.
Line a microwave-safe plate with a sheet of paper toweling, place 20 turkey pepperoni slices onto toweling and cover with another sheet of paper toweling. Microwave for 30 seconds on full power.
Place 1/2 cup dressing in small bowl and stir in pepper flakes. Pour dressing over lettuce and toss. Add salt and pepper to taste, toss basil, onion, pepper slices, and a balance of cheese into lettuce.
Distribute salad evenly over four plates. Place 5 slices of turkey pepperoni on each salad and serve with slices of pizza crust.
