Recipe(tried): Ham and Wild Rice Soup (crock pot)

2 cups diced cooked ham
3/4 cup uncooked wild rice
1 medium onion, chopped (1/2-cup)
1 (1 lb) bag Green Giant frozen mixed vegetables, thawed
1 (14 oz) can chicken broth
1 (10.75 oz) can reduced sodium condensed cream of celery soup*
1/4 tsp ground black pepper
3 cups water
1/2 cup half and half
Mix all of the ingredients except for the half and half in a 4 quart crock pot.
Cover and cook on LOW for 8 to 9 hours. Stir in the half and half and increase the setting to HIGH. Cover and cook for about 10 to 15 minutes, or until hot.
*You can use cream of mushroom soup or cream of chicken soup instead of the cream of celery soup.
Makes 8 servings (1 cup each)
