HELLMANN'S CAESAR SALAD
FOR THE CAESAR SALAD DRESSING:
1/2 cup Best Foods/Hellmann's mayonnaise
1/4 cup milk
1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
2 tablespoons Dijonnaise mustard sauce
1 clove garlic, minced
1 anchovy fillet (optional)
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
FOR THE SALAD:
1 head romaine lettuce, in bite size pieces
1 cup croutons
2 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
additional freshly grated Parmesan cheese (for garnish)
additional freshly ground black pepper (for garnish)
In a small bowl whisk together all dressing ingredients. Cover and chill until ready to serve. Dressing will keep for up to 1 week in the refrigerator.
TO MAKE THE SALAD:
In a large bowl toss the dressing (as needed) together with lettuce, croutons and bacon. Garnish with additional parmesan cheese and pepper.
Makes 1 cup dressing
