Recipe: Hershey's Oatmeal Scotches (using butterscotch chips)

HERSHEY'S OATMEAL SCOTCHES

1 cup flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 cup butter or crisco
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
3 cups oats
2 pkg (6 oz each) butterscotch morsels

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.

Mix flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon, set aside. Cream shortening and sugars, add eggs and vanilla; beat until creamy. Add Flour, etc, mix well. Stir in oats and morsels. Drop onto cookie sheet.

Bake 7-8 minutes for chewy cookies OR 10-12 minutes for crisper cookies.

Makes 4 dozen cookies
