Recipe(tried): Hot Dog Goulash - another one from long ago

My grandmother used to make this great "hot dog goulash" - and I haven't made in a long time - but, boy, is it yummy!
I just know all the ingredients...but not exact amounts.

HOT DOG GOULASH

hot dogs, at least 1 (1 lb) pkg , cut in 1-2 inch slices
sliced onion
olive oil (for sauteing onion)
2 cans (10 3/4 oz each) Campbell's condensed cream of tomato soup
water (as needed)
white potatoes, quartered
1 small (8 oz) can corn, drained
1 small (8 oz) can green beans, drained
rye bread and butter (optional, to serve)

At least one package of hot dogs, cut about 1-2 inches, sliced onions.

Saute the onions in a little olive oil, add hot dogs to brown slightly.

Add a couple of cans of Campbell's tomato soup, and I think maybe a can of water, too.

Add cut up white potatoes (quartered). Cook until potatoes are tender. (I used to mash a few just to thicken)

When potatoes are just about done, add a small can of corn, drained, and a small can of green beans, drained.

We always ate with rye bread and butter on the side.
Yum, yum - I may just have to make it this week!!
