Recipe(tried): Hough's TV Coffee Cake (using bread machine dough cycle)

Desserts - Cakes
I have been perfecting this recipe lately. This is my current version of Hough's TV Coffee Cake, let me know what you think.

SWEET DOUGH:
1 tbsp instant yeast
2 3/4+ cups all-purpose flour (more may be needed)
3/4 cup warm evaporated milk
1/3 cup sugar
2 tsp vanilla
1/4 cup oil
1 egg
1/2 tsp salt

Combine all above in bread machine and mix to dough, adding flour as needed so it is just not sticky. Let rise about 45 minutes in a warm place.

When double spread in a buttered (11x15-inch) rectangular roasting pan or anything that big. Let rise while making gooey butter topping.

GOOEY BUTTER TOPPING:
2 cups sugar
1 cup butter, softened
1/2 tsp salt
1 egg
1/4 cup light corn syrup
2 1/3 cups all purpose flour
1/4 cup evaporated milk
2 tsp vanilla

Cream butter and sugar together with electric mixer; add in rest of ingredients, mixing slowly until well blended.

Prick rising dough with a fork to stop uneven rising. Carefully spoon gooey butter over the dough, making sure to go to edges. Let dough continue to rise another 25 minutes or so.

Bake in a 350 degree F oven 25-30 minutes, until dough is baked. Remove from oven, and sprinkle powdered sugar fairly thickly over the top while warm.
