Recipe(tried): Instant Vegetarian Beef and Chicken Bouillon
Misc. Here is my recipe for instant vegetarian chicken bouillon. It is really taste similar to the chicken bouillon cubes except it does not have a lot of sodium in it. I will include the vegetarian beef version but I have not tried it yet. Nice to add to a recipe when a stock is call for and you do not have anytime to make a fresh stock.
VEGETARIAN CHICKEN BOUILLION
1 C nutritional yeast
1 Tbsp. salt
1/2 tsp. turmeric
1 tsp. black pepper
1 tsp. marjoram
1 tsp. parsley
1 tsp. tarragon
1 tsp. sage
1 tsp. summer savory
2 tsp. celery seed
2 tsp. garlic powder
2 tsp. thyme
2 tsp. onion powder
Put all dried ingredients in a blender and process until powder forms. Store in a jar in a cool place. Use in place of chicken broth.
1/2 to 1 Tbsp. per cup of hot water makes a nice cup of soup to drink on a cold day.
