Recipe(tried): King Cake

Misc.
Actually a king cake is a rich, yeast bread. Having said that, you may want to make a yellow cake, sheet style and drizzle it with green, gold, and purple icing. My sister-in-law does that. You may also want to try one using frozen bread dough, rolled out, brush with melted butter, sprinkle with cinnamon sugar, roll up jelly roll style. Put on a baking sheet, seam side down, let rise, and bake. When cool drizzle with colored icing or sugars.
