Recipe: Lemon Float Smoothie (using lemon sherbet, blender)
BeveragesLEMON FLOAT SMOOTHIE
2 cups fresh lemon juice
3/4 cup sugar
4 cups water
1 (2 liter) bottle ginger ale, chilled
2 pints lemon sherbet (or frozen vanilla yogurt), divided use
GARNISHES:
Thin lemon slices
Fresh mint leaves
Mix lemon juice, sugar and water, stirring until sugar dissolves.
Just before serving, add ginger ale. Using a blender, add 1 pint sherbet or vanilla yogurt and process until smooth.
To serve, pour smoothie mixture in tall glasses and add scoops of remaining pint of sherbet or frozen vanilla yogurt. Garnish glass with lemon slices and mint leaves.
Makes 15 servings
