Recipe: Hot Eggnog (microwave)

HOT EGGNOG

1 quart milk
4 egg yolks
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. vanilla

Place milk in 2-quart casserole.

Microwave on Full Power for 9 to 11 minutes, or until heated through and temperature of 190 degrees F is reached. Stir halfway through heating time.

Beat egg yolks with sugar and spices in small bowl. Stir one cup hot milk into egg mixture and then gradually blend all of egg mixture into milk.

Microwave on Full Power for 2 to 3 1/2 minutes or until warmed. Stir in vanilla.
