Iced Tea punch (This one I had when my friend's mother made it and it was great but now I see some details are missing...hmmm)
Steep 6 tea bags
Pour over ice
Mix in 1/2 cup sugar
1, 6oz. can orange juice

2 pkgs vanilla pudding
1/3 to 1/2 cup shredded coconut
1 pint whipping cream, whipped with sugar & vanilla, if desired

Layer at least twice sponge cake, defrosted raspberries, pudding, almonds and coconut. Top with whipped cream. Use a pretty bowl or trifle bowl. Chill.

More authentic English Trifle
Bird's English custard powder. Prepare according to pkg instructions. You will need 2 cups + or - cooled. Make ahead of tie you assemble the trifle.
Make i pkg. jello. When chilled, crumble with a fork. You can use orange or strawberry flavor.
Strawberry preserves
Sponge cake cut in 1" by 1" pieces
sherry (Gallo cream sherry is fine)
nuts(your choice), chopped
whipped cream
fresh strawberries or marichino cherries for decoration

Dip sponge cake in sherry, briefly. Layer at the bottom of a bowl at least 5" deep. Spoon custard, jello, a few teaspoons of the preserves, nuts, & a few cherries.
