My mom and I both use those little bags you get a grocery stores (such as kroger or walmart) that you put your produce in. they're plastic and don't have fire hazards.
all you do is wash/puncture the potato, put it in the bag, twist the bag and put it under the potato so it's closed up, then microwave it for your desired time (i do it for about 5 minutes).
