Recipe(tried): Mom's Jewish Apple Cake (1950's)

This recipe is from the late 1950's (very good!)

MOM'S JEWISH APPLE CAKE

3 cups chopped baking apples
2 cups sugar
3/4 cup Crisco oil
2 beaten eggs
3 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
3/4 cup chopped walnuts

Mix together the apples, sugar, oil, and eggs. Let mixture sit for 10 minutes.

Blend in the dry ingredients with the apple mixture. Fold in the walnuts. Place in a greased 11x15-inch baking dish.

Bake at 350 degrees F for about an hour.
