MOUNTAIN POUND CAKE
3 sticks (1 1/2 cups) butter, softened
5 eggs
1 lb powdered sugar
3 cups cake flour, sifted
1 tsp coconut flavoring
1/2 tsp almond flavoring
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a tube pan.
Cream the butter till light. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each one. Blend in the sugar mix well. Add the flour and the flavorings and beat till smooth. Pour into prepared pan.
Bake at 350 degrees F for 1 hour. Cool for 30 minutes and then remove from the cake pan.
Makes 1 tube cake
