Recipe: Mystery Apple Pie (topped with milk and half & half)

Desserts - Pies and Tarts
MYSTERY APPLE PIE

11 cups pared apple slices (about 9 medium size apples)
1 (10 inch) unbaked deep-dish (single) pie crust
2 cups sugar
4 tablespoons flour
1 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup half and half
1/4 cup milk
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.

Place apples slices in unbaked crust.

Thoroughly combine sugar, flour, and salt. Add cream and half and half and beat well. Pour mixture over apples. Sprinkle with cinnamon.

Bake at 375 degrees F for 1 1/2 to 2 hours or until apples are soft. Cover pie loosely with foil if crust browns too much.
