OREO COOKIE DESSERT
2 packages (3 oz each) french vanilla instant pudding mix*
3 cups milk*
1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
1 cup powdered sugar
1 (8 oz) tub Cool Whip, thawed
1 stick (1/2 cup) margarine
1 large package oreo cookies, crushed**
Mix pudding with milk in a bowl.
In another bowl mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, Cool Whip, and margarine, until smooth. Mix with pudding.
Layer half of Oreos in bottom of 9x13-inch pan. Spread pudding mixture over cookies. Layer remaining cookies on top. Refrigerate 2 hours before serving.
*I make this with fat free milk and sugar free pudding. I've also used regular sugar free Vanilla Pudding when I couldn't find the French Vanilla
**I put half the cookies in a zippy bag & bash them on the counter top, then spread them in the dish. Then I crush the remaining half & leave them in the zippy until they are needed.
