Pastavasule
Thick, creamy Italian bean soup

1 bag great northern beans
1 small onion, chopped
2 medium carrots, finely chopped
1 can tomato sauce
2 teaspoons salt or to taste
1 teaspoon pepper or to taste
1 Tbsp onion salt or to taste
1 teaspoon garlic salt or to taste
2 teaspoons oregano or to taste
1 1/4 cups tubetinni pasta
2 salt pork strips
6 cloves garlic
1 Teaspoon flour

Fill large pot with water, onion, carrot, oregano, tomato sauce, salt, pepper, onion and garlic salt and beans.

Bring to a boil and simer 4-5 hours, till beans are soft.

When cool scoop out 1-2 cups beans and put into blender and add a little water, blend till smooth. Do this to about 1/2 the pot.

Add 1 tbsp. flour to last scoop.

Fry 2 strips of salt pork till brown and add garlic. When brown strain and add to soup. add tubetini noodles and simmer. Top with Parmesan and serve.
