I've wrapped the tomatoes individually in newspaper, then packed them in a brown paper grocery bag. Store in a cool place. When you need a tomato, unwrap one and it should be nice and red. I've had them last until after Thanksgiving this way (when the bag became empty and I ran out of tomatoes) There was very little spoilage. Why not pick out some of your nice big ones and try it so you can have fresh tomatoes into the winter.
