Recipe: Peanut Butter Drops (no bake cookies using puffed rice cereal, 1970's)

1 1/2 cups sugar
1/2 cup butter or margarine
3/4 cup flour
1/2 cup milk
2 to 2 1/2 cups puffed rice cereal (unsweetened)
2/3 cup peanut butter
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
1/2 cup coconut
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. salt
In a saucepan, combine sugar, butter, flour and milk. Bring to a full boil; boil for 3 minutes, stirring constantly.
Remove from heat; add remaining ingredients. Drop by teaspoonful onto waxed paper. Cool.
Makes 60
