Pecan Tassies

1/2 lb. margrine or butter (I used 1/2 and 1/2)
2 cups all purpose flour
Mix and form into balls, using about 1 Tablespoon of dough for each ball. Makes approx. 48. Place balls into tart pans and with thumb and forefinger, lightly floured, press dough to line inside of pan. bring dough all the way to the top.
FILLING
2 large eggs, beaten
1 1/2 cups brown sugar(packed well)
1 1/2 c. ground nuts (pecans or walnuts will do)
2 Tbsp. melted butter
1/2 tsp. vanilla
Beat eggs slightly; add sugar, vanilla and melted butter. Beat just until well mixed. Add nuts and mix again.
Fill pans, a scant 3/4 full.
Bake at 350 deg. for 15 min, then reduce temp to 250 and continue baking for 10 min. Remove from oven, cool slightly, then remove from pans onto a rack.
