STUFFIN' CHEESE FRANKS
1 3/4 cups water or stock
1/2 cup regular margarine or butter
1/3 cup finely chopped onion
1 (7 oz.) package (7 cups) Kellogg's Croutettes Stuffing Herb Seasoned Croutons
10 frankfurters
5 slices process cheese, cut in half
Place water, margarine and onion in large saucepan. Bring to boiling point; remove from heat. Add croutons all at one time; toss lightly until croutons are evenly and thoroughly moistened.
Cut frankfurters lengthwise almost in half. Place 2 frankfurters side by side on a square of aluminum foil. Shape about 1/2 cup stuffing to fit into each cut frankfurter. Seal edges of foil tightly and place on baking sheet, sealed edges up.
Bake in moderate oven (350 degrees F) about 30 minutes. Open aluminum foil packets and place 1/2 slice cheese on stuffing of each frankfurter.
Return open packets to oven; bake 2 minutes longer or until cheese is melted.
