PORK PEPPER STEAK STIR FRY
1 (15 oz) can pineapple chunks
1/4 cup soy sauce
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1 tablespoon honey
1/2 teaspoon instant chicken bouillon granules
1 clove garlic, minced
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
2 tablespoons cooking oil
3/4 pound boneless pork, cut in bite-size strips
1 medium green bell pepper, cut into 1-inch
squares
Hot cooked rice (for serving)
Drain pineapple, reserving syrup; add enough water to make 3/4 cup liquid. In bowl stir syrup mixture and soy into cornstarch. Stir in honey, bouillon granules, garlic and black pepper.
Heat wok or large skillet over high heat; add oil. Stir-fry pork and green pepper in hot oil 3 to 4 minutes or till meat is browned. Push pieces away from center of wok.
Stir soy mixture; add to center of wok along with pineapple. Cook and stir till thickened and bubbly.
Combine with meat and pepper. Cover; heat 1 minute.
Makes 4 servings
