Recipe(tried): Rice and Beef Texas Hash

This was a recipe I made many times in the eary years of our marraige. It came from the label of a Hunts Tomato can.

RICE AND BEEF TEXAS HASH

1 pound ground beef
1 onion, chopped
1 green pepper, chopped
1 (28-ounce) can Hunts Whole Tomatoes
1 teaspoon chili powder
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
3/4 cup regular rice

Brown meat in skillet, add onion and green pepper. Cook until tender. Drain fat.

Add tomatoes and seasonings. Bring to a boil. Stir in rice. Cover. Simmer 30-35 minutes.

Makes 4 to 6 servings.
