Recipe: Rocky Road Candy recipe

Misc.
I have an old Betty Crocker cookbook from 1970. It has a recipe for Rocky Road Candy which is very simular to Chocolate Charlie. The problem with this recipe is it uses raw eggs. I emailed Betty Crocker and they said it is no longer save to eat raw eggs. They suggested if you have to make this recipe to use pastorized eggs.

1 pkg (6 oz) semisweet chocolate pieces
1 suare (1 oz) unsweetened chocolate
1 tbsp butter
2 pastorized eggs
1 1/4 cups confectioners' sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla
2 cups salted peanuts
2 cups miniature marshmallows

Melt chocolate pieces, chocolate and butter in large saucepan over low heat, stirring until smooth. Remove from heat.

Beat eggs until foamy. Mix in sugar, salt and vanilla. Blend in chocolate mixture. Stir in peanuts and marshmallows. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto waxed paper. Chill 2 hours or until firm. Store in refrigerator; remove just before serving.

Maybe someone out there has a substitution for the eggs?
