Recipe: Salmon Biscuits

Breads - Assorted
SALMON BISCUITS

2 cups flour, sifted
4 teaspoons baking powder
3/4 teaspoon salt
4 tablespoons shortening
3/4 cup canned salmon, drained and flaked
3/4 cup milk
grated cheese or pimiento cream cheese (for topping)

Preheat oven to 475 degrees F. Lightly grease a baking sheet.

Sift flour, baking powder and salt. Cut in shortening. Add salmon. Work in lightly. Add milk. Roll about 1/2 inch thick. Cut with small biscuit cutter.

Place on prepared baking sheet. Cover with grated cheese or pimiento cream cheese.

Bake 10 to 12 minutes in hot 475 degree F oven. Serve hot with a salad.
