Recipe: Sausage Links and Apples

Hi Carol...saw this on the Food Network a couple nights ago:

Sausage links and Apples

1 small onion, thinly sliced
2 Granny Smith apples, unpeeled, cored and sliced
6 links sausage
1/2 cup dark brown sugar
1/4 cup bacon drippingsHeat bacon drippings in an iron skillet. Add onions and cook until softened. Add sausages and brown 3 min til browned on all sides. Add apples and brown sugar. Mix well. Cover and cook untiul apples are slightly crisp, but a little tender.
