Recipe: Sausage Pan Roast (using smoked sausage, serves 3)

SAUSAGE PAN ROAST

4 slices bacon, cut in 1 inch pieces
1 large carrot, sliced thin
2 or 3 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
1 spur of broccoli, cut in bite sized pieces
1 medium onion, halved and sliced
1/2 teaspoon marjoram
salt and pepper
2 cooked bratwurst or similar chunk of kielbasa (Polish sausage), cut in thin slices
3/4 cup water

In large skillet over low heat, cook the bacon until it is very crisp and then set it aside.

Add the vegetables and the seasonings to the pan drippings. Cook over medium heat for 5 minutes tossing frequently.

Add the sausages, bacon and water.Cover the skillet and cook over medium low heat for 15 to 20 minutes until the potatoes are tender, tossing occasionally.
