Recipe: Shrimp Chowder (using canned soup)

Shrimp Chowder (using canned soup)

I found this on a Campbell's soup brochure 20 years ago, and have been making this ever since. I never make it for anyone that they don't want the recipe! It is great! Enjoy.

4 cans Campbell's cream of potato soup
4 soup cans whole milk
2 tbsp. margarine
1 large clove garlic, minced
1 (8 oz.) pkg. Philadelphia cream cheese, cut in chunks
1 bunch green onions, chopped in small pieces
fresh ground pepper
2 cans corn, drained
1 1/2 pounds raw shrimp, peeled, deveined, and cut into small pieces

Put everything together in large pot except for the shrimp. Heat for about 20 to 25 minutes, just long enough for the onions to get soft and the cream cheese to melt. You'll have to stir pretty often. Don't let it boil. Add shrimp the last 5 minutes. Serve with fresh ground pepper on top.
