Recipe: Spiced Apple Topping

Spiced Apple Topping

This makes a lot so you may have to cut down for your family.

4oz butter
3pounds honey
2 quarts and 3 cups apple juice
1 cup cornstarch
2 tablespoons cinnamon
1 tablespoon nutmeg
1 tablespoons and 1 teaspoon vanilla
canned unsweetened sliced apples or fresh to equal
8 pounds 4 oz the fresh have to be cut up to equal that amount too
1 cup raisins (optional)

Keep some juice out to combine with the cornstarch to thicken the apples
Cook items to boil hard and then the cornstarch and juice mixture.
