Recipe: Sugar Cookies (using lemon extract)

Hi Tammy here is a recipe using lemon extract. I haven't made these cookies but my g-Aunt did & she was a wonderful cook. Also just wanted to let you know that sometimes I use lemon extract in place of vanilla extract in recipes to get a different flavor twist. Good luck, Mickey

Sugar Cookies

1 cup real butter,softened
1 cup Mazola oil
1 cup powdered sugar
1 cup granulated sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla or lemon extract
4 1/2 cup flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cream of tartar

Cream together in an electric mixer (or with an electric mixer) the butter, oil & sugars. Add the eggs & beat well. Sift the other ingredients together & add to the mixture. Mix to blend.Form into small balls & place on an ungreased cookie sheet (additional sugar may be lightly sprinkled on top). Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes.
