Recipe(tried): Sunday Dinner at Our House - Alabama Style Meatloaf

Menus
Hey, everyone!

On Sunday we had the following menu for lunch:
Alabama Style Meatloaf
Macaroni and Cheese with Wine
Cream 40 Peas
Garlic Toast
Sweet Tea with Lemon
and fruit pops for dessert.

I've already posted the recipes for the macaroni and cheese and the tea. However, I did try something new when I made the meat loaf. It certainly was good to us and I hope that you enjoy it!

ALABAMA STYLE MEATLOAF

2 lbs. ground sirloin
1/4 cup shredded carrots
1/4 cup chopped onions
1/4 cup chopped red pepper
2 slices bread, put into the food processor and made into crumbs
2 eggs, beaten
1 pkg. Golden Onion Soup Mix
1 Tbsp. Worcestershire Sauce
1 Tbsp. Heinz 57 Sauce
FOR THE GLAZE:
1/4 cup catsup
1/4 cup mustard
1/4 cup brown sugar

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Mix the ground beef with the carrots, onions, red bell pepper, bread crumbs, eggs, dry soup mix, Worcestershire Sauce, and Heinz 57 Sauce. Shape this beef mixture into a loaf and place on a pan lined with aluminum foil.

Bake for 45 minutes. Remove the meat loaf from the oven.

PREPARE THE GLAZE:
Mix the catsup, mustard, and brown sugar together to form a glaze.

Pour the glaze over the meatloaf and bake for another 20 minutes. Let the meatloaf stand for 10 minutes before cutting.

Happy Monday!
