Hi All: Micha, I made your candy bar cookies today when I came home from work. They came out really good. My kids really liked them and each ate three at once. Thanks for the great recipe.

I have a cookie recipe that you also use candy. I've made these with Hershey Kisses. You should try these:

SURPRISE COOKIES

1 1/2 sticks (3/4 cup) butter, softened
1/2 cup sugar
1 egg
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 3/4 cups flour
1 bag Hershey's Kisses, unwrapped
1 cup sifted confection sugar

Place the butter and sugar in the large bowl of an electric mixer and beat together on medium speed until fluffy. Add egg, vanilla and salt and beat until completely blended.

Add the flour and beat on low speed until well blended.

Shape the dough into 36 (1-inch) balls and roll each between your hands until smooth.

Holding the dough in the palm of your hand, press a piece of candy into the dough and shape the dough around the candy so that it is completely covered. Place the balls of dough on ungreased cookie pans, leaving about 2-inches between them.

Bake in a 350 degree F oven for about 15 minutes, or until edges begin to brown.

Place the confection's sugar in a small bowl. Remove the cookies from the pan with a spatula. While cookies are still warm, place them one at a time in the sugar. Roll the cookie over so its completely covered with sugar. Place the cookies on a rack to cool. Reroll them in confectioner's sugar when they're completely cool.
