Recipe(tried): Suzie's Spanish Rice Casserole - EASY! (using Spanish rice mix)

SUZIE'S SPANISH RICE CASSEROLE

1 pkg Rice-A-Roni, Spanish Rice Mix
1 to 1 1/2 lbs ground beef, browned and crumbled
1 (14 oz) can chopped tomatoes
1 (14 oz) can tomato sauce
2 tbsp butter
garlic powder
1 (4 to 5 oz) pkg shredded Colby jack cheese (or your favorite)
ADD ONS (OPTIONAL):
sliced black olives
jalapeno peppers
red chili flakes

Make Rice as package directs. Make sure all moisture and excess water are cooked out of the rice.

Add browned ground beef, tomatoes, tomato sauce, butter, and garlic powder. Mix well. Pour into large, lightly greased casserole dish. Top with cheese and anything else you might like.

Bake covered at 350 for 25 minutes.

Uncover and bake an additional 10 minutes or until bubbly and slightly browned.

NOTE: this makes ALOT and is delicious!
