Recipe(tried): Swedish Snow Balls (cookies, 1960's)

SWEDISH SNOW BALLS

1 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups all purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup finely chopped pecans
Additional powdered sugar

Cream butter, 1/2 cup powdered sugar and vanilla together thoroughly.

Spoon flour (not sifted) into dry measuring cup. Level off and pour measured flour onto waxed paper. Add salt to flour, stir to blend.

Add blended dry ingredients and nuts to creamed mixture. Mix well.

Shape dough into 1-inch balls. Place on ungreased baking sheet.

Bake at 400 degrees F for 10-12 minutes.

Roll in powdered sugar while warm. Cool on racks. Roll in sugar again.

Makes 5 dozen cookies
