Recipe(tried): Sweet and sour pork

Misc.

Hi Steve, hope this is what you're looking for.
Sweet and sour pork:
2 eggs
4 Tbs. flour
1-1/2 tsp. salt, divided
dash of pepper
1/2 c vegetable oil
1 clove garlic, finely chopped
1 lb. lean boneless pork, cut into 1/2 inch cubes
1 chicken bouillon cube
1 c boiling water
1 can pineapple chunks, drained
1 or 2 green peppers, chopped
2-1/2 Tbs. cornstarch
2 tsp. soy sauce
1/2 c vinegar
1/2 c sugar
Combine egg, flour, 1/2 tsp. salt, and the pepper, beat with fork until blended. Heat oil in large, heavy skillet over moderate heat. Add 1 tsp salt and the garlic to the hot oil. Dip each piece of pork into the egg mixture and drop one at at time into the hot oil. Cook and stir until meat is golden brown. Pour off all but 1 Tbs. of the oil. Dissolve chicken bouillon cube in the 1 cup of boiling water. Add 1/3 c of the bouillon, pineapple, and green peppers to the meat mixture. Cover and cook over low heat for 10 minutes. Blend together cornstarch, soy sauce, vinegar, sugar, and the remaining 2/3 cup of bouillon. Add to meat mixture. Cook and stir constantly until clear and thickened, about 5 minutes. Serve over rice or chow mein noodles. Serves 4.
