TERIYAKI MARINADE
1/4 cup cooking oil
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup dry sherry
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
2 tablespoons molasses
Combine oil, soy, sherry, ginger, and garlic. Use as a marinade for beef, pork, or chicken.
Marinate meat, covered, in refrigerator or cooler 4 to 24 hours.
Drain meat, reserving marinade. Stir molasses into marinade. Baste meat with mixture the last 10 minutes of grilling.
Makes 1 cup (enough for 2 pounds meat)
