Recipe(tried): Teriyaki Salmon

Misc.

Hi Linda! I do teriyaki salmon on the GF grill often 'cos hubby loves it. It's really easy. Here's how I do it: First marinate the fillets in teriyaki sauce in a ziploc bag for a few hours or overnight.

Put the fillets skin side down on the grill and after a few minutes, brush some teriyaki glaze all over. Brush as much and as often as you want, but be careful not to overdo it or to put it on too soon, 'cos the sugar in the glaze makes the top blacken quickly. When the salmon flakes easily with a fork, it is done.

I serve this with extra teriyaki glaze on the side for dipping, along with zaru soba (cold Japanese buckwheat noodles with tempura dipping sauce.) It's also good with steamed rice. For veggies we like something simple like steamed asparagus or salad with an Asian dressing. Hubby's favorite is mushrooms sauteed with a bit of each: soy sauce, sugar, butter, sesame oil, toasted sesame seeds.

I use Kikkoman Teriyaki Marinade&Sauce and Kikkoman Teriyaki Baste&Glaze but you can use any brand or your own recipe. You can find the Kikkoman stuff in the Asian-foods aisle of most supermarkets. They are great for anything on the grill and stir-frys too! :)
