Recipe: The Best Playdough - Bren, are you referring to what is sometimes called playdough?
Crafts Here is a tried recipe from the archives, to see more just type "play dough" or "playdough" into the search here on this site. Try both spellings and you will find lots of recipes. When I was a child, we called it clay! If you mean something else entirely, please post again.
Recipe(tried): The Best Playdough (tested by my 5 boys)
Posted By: Cali
Date: Mon Jul 20th 1998
Board: Cooking Club at Recipelink.com
2 C flour
1 C salt
2 C water
2 tsp cream of tartar
2 Tbsp cooking oil
food coloring
Mix all ingredients (except food coloring), in a med. saucepan. Stir vigorously. Cook about 3 minutes, stirring constantly. The mixture will congeal, and you'll immediately know when it's finished. When the dough is cool enough to handle, divide & mix in food coloring. This will keep several months in a tightly covered container. It doesn't get stuck in carpeting,etc..., like store bought doughs. HAVE LOTS OF FUN!!!!!!
