Recipe: Walnut Frostie Cookies (thumbprint cookies with sour cream topping)

FOR THE TOPPING:
1 cup chopped walnuts
1/4 cup sour cream
1/2 cup brown sugar
FOR THE COOKIE DOUGH:
2 cups flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. soda
1 cup brown sugar
1 egg
Combine the ingredients for the topping; set aside.
Mix all the ingredients for the cookie dough together well. If it is too dry, put in the microwave for about 1 minute.
Roll cookie dough into balls and place on a cookie sheet. Put thumb print in each cookie. Then put a teaspoonful of topping into each thumb print.
Bake at 350 degrees F for 12 to 14 minutes.
