Recipe: Wedding Reception - amounts to serve ... tip
Holidays, CelebrationsFirst best wishes on the wedding and marriage.
CHECK out the caterers casefully. Ask for references and call them. How will it be displayed -- will caterer do it all or just prepare for you to have somone else serve?
Wedding cake pieces vary -- 2 inch square is about average.
As far as how much -- gosh I know others have posted here about that -- i even have a bit, but hard and fast rules are hard. (Quantity Guides - Meat and Cheese Party Trays and Amounts to Feed 100 - click here)
I would suggest that you ask the portions they plan on divide it up in your mind does it seem like enough?
1 carrot or one piece of cheese would never do. How many guest will there be?
How will it be served? Out all the time or in stages? IE if you plan to put out a cheese tray as guest arrive and it is late in the day it will be eaten quickly -- if on the other hand you plan on everything going out at once then the main items will have more draw then the appetizer plates ....
Good luck!
When is the wedding? What will be served -- where?
