Annual News Year's Day Menu Must Include:
* Blackeyed Peas
* Cooked Greens (Mixed)
* Corn Bread (can be Mexican Corn Bread)

Add some form of Potatoes
-- baked, creamed, or potato salad
OR Pasta with Cheese

Optional side dishes could include:
--slaw
--carrots or yams; candied
--deviled eggs

Dessert:
Cobbler with ice cream
Pound cake
Fruit salad

If you absolutely must have meat, you could add pork:
Baked ham or pork chops
