Recipe: Wendy's Chocolate Chip Cookie Bark

WENDY'S CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIE BARK
Makes 6 dozen pieces

2 cups flour
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 cup margarine, softened
1/4 cup vegetable shortening
1 cup sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 pkg. (12 oz.) semisweet chocolate chips, divided use
1/2 cup oats, divided use
1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Grease a 15 1/2x10 1/2-inch jelly-roll pan.

Mix flour and salt and set aside.

Beat butter, shortening, sugar and vanilla in mixer; beat until light and fluffy scraping bowl. Gradually beat in flour mixture until well combined. Stir in 1 cup chocolate chips and 1/4 cup oats.

Pat dough into prepared pan. Sprinkle remaining oats, walnuts and 1 cup chocolate chips over the top. Press lightly onto dough.

Bake 25 minutes at 375 degrees or until edges are lightly browned. Cool completely in pan on wire rack.

Break in 2x1-inch pieces.
