Recipe(tried): yet another no-bake chocolate cookie

Misc.

Here's yet another version.

CHOCOLATE OATMEAL DROPS

2 cups sugar
1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup butter
3 Tablespoons unsweetened cocoa
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup peanut butter
3 cups quick-cooking rolled oats

In a large saucepan, combine sugar, milk, butter and cocoa. Bring to a boil; boil one minute, stirring constantly. Stir in salt, vanilla, peanut butter, and rolled oats; blend well. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto waxed paper. Let stand until set. Makes 4 dozen or more.

This recipe makes a lot and the batter begins to stiffen before I am finished dropping the cookies. So, unless I am making them for a crowd, I just halve the recipe. I LOVE! these cookies.
