ISO: ANGEL CHERRY STRUDEL

Misc.
I AM WRITTING IN CAPS FOR I HAVE VERY BAD EYESIGHT. PLEASE FORGIVE ME, IT IS NOT INTENDED TO OFFEND ANYONE. MY SON IS GETTING MARRIED, THIS MONTH, AND HIS FAVORITE RECEIPE IS ANGEL CHERRY STRUDEL. I HAVE MADE THIS BEFORE BUT IT ALWAYS GOES FLAT. OTHERS HAVE MADE IT AND THEY WON'T DEVULGE THEIR SECRET. GUESS THEY WANT THE GOLD MEDAL AWARD. LOL ANYWAY THE RECIPE IS MADE AS FOLLOWS. A DOUGH I PREPARE LIKE CLOTHESPIN COOKIE DOUGH BUT WITH A LITTLE SLIGHT VARIATION, LEFT OVERNIGHT IN THE REFRIGERATOR. NEXT YOU ROLL IT OUT LIKE A KOLACHI, AND THE FILLING IS AS FOLLOWS: ANGELFOOD CAKE MIX,PREPARED AS THE BOX SAYS TO DO.A SMALL JAR OF CHERRIES CHOPPED UP, NUTS CHOPPED UP. NOW THE METHOD: SPRINKLE THE CHERRIES ONTO THE DOUGH, THEN THE NUTS THEN SPREAD THE ANGELFOOD MIX. BY THE WAY THIS RECEIPE MAKES 3-4 STRUDELS. NOW ROLL UP AND PUT ONTO A COOKIE SHEET LINED WITH PARCHMENT PAPER. BAKE.
NOW THE REAL BIG PROBLEM. WHILE BAKING IT RISES VERY SLIGHTY AND VERY NICE. WHEN IT IS NEAR DONE IT GOES TOTALY FLAT. I CAN SEE IT THROUGH THE OVEN DOOR. WHEN I TAKE IT OUT IT LOOKS LIKE A PANCAKE. PLEASE HELP, WHAT IS WRONG? I HAVE BAKED THIS IN A GAS AND ELECTRIC OVEN. NO LUCK.
I BEG ANYONE TO HELP ME. IT SEEMS PEOPLE ON ALL THE FOOD NETWORKS HAVE NOT HEARD ABOUT THIS RECIPE. I SEE THEM AT WEDDINGS BUT NO ONE WANTS TO SHARE THEIR SECRET. I AM 56 YRS OLD. AND I DON'T WANT TO WAIT TILL I AM A 100 TO FINALLY MASTER THIS. THANKYOU AND GOD BLESS YOU ALL, NANCY
