ISO: barbecued crabs with eggplant

Misc.
I am trying to locate a recipe for barbecued crabs using boiled hard-shelled crabs. A friend showed me how to make it years ago and I lost the recipe. It contains a dozen of boiled crabs, an eggplant and two bottles of barbecue sauce.

The eggplant is diced and added to the barbecue sauce ( I guess as a thickener) and cooked for ( I can't remember how long).

The sauce is very good when used to dip with hot buttered french bread and full crab.

If anyone has this recipe, I would greatly appreciate them sharing it with me.

I have about twenty cookbooks (old and new) and I can't find this one.
