ISO: Christmas Cookie Recipe (with maraschino cherries)

Hi Everyone,

I am looking for a Christmas cookie recipe. It is a small drop cookie with chopped maraschino cherries and almond flavoring. I think there is maraschino cherry juice in them, because they have a pink hue to them. They seem like an older recipe to me, like something from the '40's or '50's. I just can't think of the name of them, but I know a lot of people make these, so hopefully someone knows what I'm talking about!
