ISO: cooking sticky rice in an electric steamer

I would like to know how to cook "sticky rice" in an electric steamer. If it doesn't work well that way, I've seen steamers with bamboo baskets available on the internet; I would avoid the purchase if it works just as well in an electric steamer, which I already have.
